How classes are designed

Classes run twice a week and are 90 minutes long - There are two lessons per week. The first lesson in Monday or Tuesday. The second lesson is Wednesday or Thursday. Each lesson is taught twice a week, so you can choose which days are suitable for you. A flexible day system is applied; student numbers permit, you can swap study days with 2 days notice.

Courses are 8 weeks long - Courses run for 8 weeks and following completion you can move up to the next level.

Small class sizes - Maximises student participation!

Study after work?-Possible! - Classes start at 5:45pm and finish by 7:15pm.

How much does it cost? - Prices are the best you will find anywhere. Please enquire for current pricing. There is no need to worry about the extra expense of buying new text books as we provide them for you.

Why you should study Japanese at the Nichigo Centre

Communication - Language is about communicating, therefore we believe a conversationally based lesson is the fastest way to becoming fluent. Some reading and writing is taught but is generally given as homework.

Language exchange with a Japanese person arranged - We will introduce you personally to a Japanese member of the Nichigo Centre®. From then, you can meet and practice your Japanese whenever you and your "buddy" choose to.

Frequent Social Events - We also have regular social events such as the monthly "Beer & Meat Pie Party", which is a great opportunity to meet more Japanese people and practice your skills.

Feel free to use the library and Independent Learning Centre - Every student automatically becomes a member of the Nichigo Centre®, so feel free to visit anytime and make use of our library and Independent Learning Centre. We have an extensive range of Japanese and English magazines, newspapers and study material including tapes and videos.
